How involved is replacing a computer on an 98 cherokee sport. I found a used one and feel like im getting the run around with a local mechanic....any help is greatly appreciated.

As long as you have the correct one it's a unplugg the old one/plug in the new one type deal. Of coarse you have to remember they're is about half a dozen different ones for a 4.0ltr XJ per any given year.
