In order to swap gears and install a locker do you have to remove your back axle or can you leave it attatched to the truck? I just lifted my cherokee 4.5 inches and the ubolts were a pain and i would hate to remove brake lines and everything so i was just wondering if it were possible while still under the truck.

Buy a bottle of anti-seize and use it regularly or move to So Cal. If you live where salt is use or run on mud all the time, anti-seize is your best friend. Then U-bolts (or any other bolt for that matter) will not be a big deal the second time around.
