also search for "rear seal" - it's the same effort to remove the pan, after that just unbolt the pump and put in th new one. If you go with a high volume pump (like a meling) you may have some clearance issues with th pump and pan so do test fits before spreading RTV around.
Just for clarification - when replacing the rear main seal, it's recommended that you replace the oil pump pickup, but that isn't actually the oil pump itself.
So with that in mind, do you need to replace the oil pump, or the oil pump pickup? If the oil pump itself actually need to be replaced, it's going to be a lot more involved than dropping the oil pan and removing the bolt that holds the pickup...
