OK, so i was on my way home tonight minding my own, i pull out of my buddies neighborhood and my trac bar bolt decides to jump out.... I was only going about 35 MPH but that was plenty fast to scare the crap out of me(felt like the about the worst death wobble i can think of). But i found the bolt on the side of the road my buddy got me a bolt and all is well.
The moral of this story is, everyone go out and tighten your trac bars and make sure everything else is tight as well.....

pshhh i blew my trackbar in half once and drove 23 miles down the highway at 55 to get to my buddies house where he welded it back up... its kinda like riding a horse when it wants to go one way ya just gotta ctach it and fight it back where you want it

lol, anyone remember those drunk simulators from school? when I blew my tb, it kinda felt like that, all over the place, had to constantly steer it. it's really not that bad, but know you wont be able to steer until your axle goes completely to one side and the bushings bind in the control arms....then it'll pull your jeep around. Glad you got home ok.

When I broke my trackbar bolt, I was about a mile and a half into a trail. I drove it to the road and parked on the shoulder for the night til I got a replacement. I didn't feel like risking anything because of a little bolt. I would've felt pretty stupid if I went from changing just one bolt to crashing my XJ! :D

My bolt came out going about 40 but it wS IN conctruction area with barriers and i turned but it just wouldnt turn fast enough and i hit the barrier with my tires.......but it didnt do anything so i pulled into taco bell and looked for the bolt and it was still sitting up in the trackbar mount.....lucky ehh?

like said above double nut it or put a little tack weld on it. however if you are breaking bolts you need to upgrade to a larger bolt or higher grade bolt.

hahahahaha...I just put a homebrew 3.5" lift kit on a zj and tried to drive it with no alignment, shocks, or swaybars...I just wanted to see if it would get into 3rd gear... didnt even get the chance to get into 3rd
