I've got a '98 xj 4x4. My reverse lights don't always work so I tried to pull off the nss and clean it today. I used these instructions:

After I pulled the adjusting bolt and loosened the retaining nut, the switch just wouldn't budge. I almost bent the screwdriver prying on the thing and ended up stripping off some of the threads underneath the retaining nut.
I ended up just puting it all back together. Any suggestions on how to get this thing off, espectially now that those threads are almost gone?
