replacement track bar before long trip

im leaving for a week long road trip on the 19th, and ive got a track bar question.


Ive never had good luck keeping my track bar tightened, have to tighten it up every couple months to keep from getting DW when i hit bumps on the freeway. i replaced it with a good condition used one two years ago, but couldnt get the upper mount off the jeep so its the original upper mount.

is there anything I should worry about? im taking the jeep 700 miles from home, and up to 150 miles from any kind of town.
i dont want to loose a track bar going down a desert highway at 100mph, and be 150 miles away from nothing.

don't go 100 mph and carry a spare trackbar and pickle fork.

Tighten it before you leave and again before you head home.

I would think highwaymiles.would be less likely to loosen the track bar than around town miles. oh and uh, yeah, I don't think I would go 100MPH in an XJ

Drive it like you want to, but if you are worried about a certain part failing I would suggest carrying a spare. JMO
