Help please,
2004 4 L engine.
My oil pressure drops to 0 when I come to a stop. and it only drops when it is hot about 20 min after start up.
I had this problem before, I took it to the dealership last year and they changed the sending unit.
Every thing was doing good for about 7 months. Now it is doing it again.
I installed a new sending unit aout 2 weeks ago and it has he same problem.
NOTE: When I disonnect the unit, the gauge goes from 0 to the normal operating position on the gauge. "12 O' clock position"
When I plug the gauge in, it drops to zero until I press the accelerator. At that time the gauge goes back up to 12 O' clock position.
What the heck?
BTW....This engine has been modified to 4.7 L stroke and I used teflon tape to seal the sensor when I installed it.
Any ideas?
