Whats the most lift you can use YJ brakelines at safely?

I'd say 3-4 inches....

I relocated the hard lines & am using 95 YJ lines at 6". JIM.

X2, they are JUST long enough though.

x3, they were just fine with short arms, but with long arms they are just getting tight when the axle is drooped all the way.

I assume you are talking about the front?

It doesn't matter TOO much on short arms versus long arms, it really depends on how much droop you have, whether it be the short arms hitting the shock mounts/coil buckets or the shocks limiting the travel. I've found relocating the front stock lines will allow you to use a 10 inch travel shock.

YJ Lines are about 2.5" longer than XJ lines, according to the specs on NAPAOnline.com.....
