Are you refering to the adjusting bolt on the PS pump bracket?

Or the PS pump bracket bolts?

Or something else?

The year of the engine will help out if you can give it to us. The early Renix engines had a different style of tensioner than the HO. Take your good bolt for the gearbox and go to a hardware store and by new bolts of the same size and thread in grade 8. No need for a trip to the boneyard for these bolts. Chances are those ones will break also.

I have those bolts, but they are from a 1990. I will send them to ya for free and if they work, great, if not, throw them away. PM me your address and contact info.

NO.........!,10.9 on the head marking has nothing to do with the size but everything to do with the strenght(or torque rating)
All the bolts on your Jeep should be metric,you can tell by the head markings if they are metric head markings.
10.9 = grade 8
9.8 = grade 5
8.8 = notch above cold-roll

standard head markings
five slashes = grade 8
three slashes -grade five
one or no slashes =junk from most hardware storesparty1:
