difference between mj and xj springs

MJ leaf springs are about 5" longer than XJ springs.
 
Lookng at a set of each in my shop...XJ springs have arch, MJ springs have very little....and since the main leaf will not even fit an XJ....I would think you will lose lift.
 
Yes yes yes. MJs are spring under.
They are longer and flex better. They are actually arched MORE
than an XJ spring.
If you put MJ springs on top the axle, you will get about 6-7" of lift.
I just did this, so don't argue with me.
 
Mj springs have more arch.
Mj springs won't fit on your XJ unless you rework all of the frame side mounting points.
 
i was just wondering because i have an mj and was looking at putting xj or some other spring under it for just a little more lift i have already done the soa conversion and RC shackles i only want like one more inch to get a little more flex
 
hmm what rear axle yo uhave on your mj???? maybe time to ditch that 35 and go with a 8.8 i bet the axle tube diameter might come close..
