i have a 90 jeep cherokee. i put a motor in it it turns over no problem but wont start. it has no spark. im stumped:hang:

How did you determine it has no spark? What else have you checked?
What year engine did you put in?

its out of a 90 lerado. no spark coming out of dis cap checked with screw drive in spark plug #1 wire

Did your XJ come with a factory alarm. If so put the key in passide door lock and turn three times. Left right left right left right. I put a motor in my 91 and same thing. Took a week for me to figure out that it had a factory alarm. Once you clear the alarm she fire right up DOH!!!

Well, the basics first. Make sure you connected all of the sensors including the CPS (on the bell housing). Double check all electrical and vacuum connections.

were on the bellhousing is the cps at

The CPS is on the upper driver's side. There is a connector near the coolant temp sensor (which is on the driver's side, rear cylinder head).

what color are the wires for the cps on the 90 xj. i have a red and white set but they lead into the fire wall and id like to rule them out
