Finally have an installed CB.
I know that WE use channel 4.
So what does everyone else use?
What are the high flow channels for the NW?
Thanks

We can take a look at NWFest to see if you're tuned properly then.

RE: Trucker Channels
:lecture: Here goes
Generally North/South roads, like I-5, use channel 17 on the West Coast
East/West roads like I-90, I-84, I-82 use 19
Most roads East of the Cascades use channel 19
Log Truckers are generally on 14, or channel 10
Dump Trucks- channels 10 and 25
Canadian Truckers: English- Channel 1, Not English-Channel 27
Local Seattle Truckers: Channels 10,11,15,25,40
Sideband Truckers: Channels 30 to 39
Oversize Loads: Channels 5, 11, 17,25
Boats: Channel 7
RV's: Read the spare tire cover
Cops monitor 17, 19 , and 9
Probably more than you wanted to know

NO, That IS EXACTLY what I wanted to know.
I was well aware of the 17/19. North/South, E/W thing. But it was the more local and specially thing I was looking for.
Thanks for the post.
How's your jeep doing? You gona come to NW Fest?
Are we going to see you on the trail soon?

Hi Michael:wave1:
Glad I could help with the CB channels. It's gratifying to know that 30 years of truckin taught me something useful.:laugh3:
Jeep is doing fine. It is nice and clean and warm in my garage for right now and I have been tinkering with it to hopefully make some improvements.
I am not going to make NW fest this year. I needed to deal with some health issues the past few months. Now with that under control, my girlfriend and I have bought a house in Bonney Lake and will be moving in during the next couple of weeks.
However, after we are settled in some, I intend on getting out and wheeling often. Y'all will probably see more of me this fall.
Thanks for asking.

Everyone has something to offer from experience!!
Good to hear that the Health issues are behind you! Best of Luck with the move, I hope it all goes smooth.
We look forward to seeing you on the trail BEFORE the snowy season:)
