or its in 4 low on what I can tell is pavement and yeah it apears to be parked in gear WTF!

The picture is kind of small and fuzzy, but is that a column shifter along with a console shifter?

the parked in gear thing is a little strange, but i'd say the spider crab(what the heck is that anyway?) coming out of the dash is a little more odd....

I have wires sticking out from my dash too. That's exactly where I ran the wiring for my iPod.

And yeah, I was thinking that the shifter was in the wrong place for it to be parked, with e-brake applied. Can't help ya with the spider crab / dash thing....:D

uhm, yep.

me tcase shifter sticks straight up in 4low. it only sits flat like that in 2wd.

other than the 2nd gear and ebrake thing....is that a manual door lock and power everything else??????

The electric lock switch would be next to the power window switches... which you can't see.

I used to be able to do that in my 89. The ignition switch was shot, so you could basically start the Jeep with no keys.
And turn it off with it still in gear.

look @ the location of the lever going into the console its in the 4lo position. I know its not angled like it should be but the location on the bezel is the 4lo position.

That would be the shifter for the tranny and it is in the 1-2 position. The shifter for the x-fer case is down in the 2hi position.

i agee that its in 2hi.... but by looking closely at the guage cluster... is it running? or is that just the bad res playing tricks? also the key appears to be in the off position.... so idk.. could be... need a better pic.
