will a 91 exh manifold fit an 89 4.0

I need to put a new exhaust manifold on my 89 xj project an dthe 89 xj manifold is $144 on ebay and the 91 is $44 from the same vendor.

I know the 89 has that extra tube that goes to the air box but wha telse will stop me from ahving to get the older manifold?

i can also get a used 89 manifold for $10 claims to have no warps or cracks.

i think the difference is the EGR valve. it should fit other wise. if the tail is in the same place.I actually want to put a 98 header on my 89 XJ, now that one has a different tail.

i believe the answer is no. 91 is the 'HO' model, and uses a differant intake/exhaust bolt pattern.

It will fit but you need the downpipe from the 91 also. Ran that setup on my 90 for awhile. Its the same head just different size intake ports.
