Recently my AW4 has been shifting late. Not slipping at all, just shifting late.
It began starting shortly after I had dunked my XJ good one time out (read: Took water in the axle vent tubes).
I pulled the TCU fuse and it shifts perfectly through those gears: 1, 3, and 4.
However when I put it in drive normally, it seems to overrev before it wants to switch gears and it downshifts a lot sooner than usual.
I tried testing the TPS, but am not exactly sure how to go about it. I piggybacked the plug using a common pin to try and check the volts its sending out.
My results were kind of weird, it only got up to like 2 volts so I'm not sure I did it right.
I also have a factory service manual and it doesn't really help in terms of trying to test the TPS, unless I just couldn't find it?
Thanks in advance for all your help.
