The phrase 'Any port in a storm' comes to mind. Hunger triggers desperation. Despertation leads to morning-after "WTF was I thinking?"

Damn article isn't published online yet, so I'll actually have to physically go to the library to read it.

Just from the news article it appears to be yet another attempt at successfully presenting tenets of sociobiology as 'research'.

I'm not going to say it has no validity yet, but its certainly suspect. For one, it seems to be talking about sociobiology (what an unprovable joke) and secondly, I never go hungry longer than about four seconds, and I almost always prefer the large ladies...

I like this statement:

"past research suggests social, cultural and psychological factors are involved."

That pretty much sums it up, eh?

I'm with Beej, though not to the exclusion of the other end of the spectrum. Heck! I'll take the entire spectrum. If she and I can make something happen, I'm game.

Of course, I am happily married, so this discussion is totally academic :thumbup: ;)
