new tires and rims have arrived,,well sort of

I was away camping and got a call from my mother inlaw that the trucking company called and were delievering my 31" Bfg mud terrains and 15x8 rock crawler rims that I ordered from 4WHEELPARTS.
Well I got home last night and in my garage sitting on a pallet is my order. Well except for one thing they missed. They never mounted and balanced them. I had 4 tires and 4 rims sitting there. I just called these guys and they said that the order is taken in Cali then sent to Florida were the tires come from and someone didnt highlight mount and balance on invoice so it was over looked. there responce when I said what are we going to do about it, was for me to take them somewhere and have them done some where and they would credit me the 40 $ i paid to have it done by them because it would cost to much to have the trucking company pick them up and then redeliever the order right. so now its costing me 20 a tire at firestone to have them mounted and balanced..

These guys were like oh well like it was my fault..

I feel the same way. I ordered some RE 3/4 spacers and they sent me Daystar 1 3/4 spacers. I'll order from the store, but not online.

$20/tire, ouch, I bet you could have bought the tires locally and saved that..wowser...

Other than the tires not being mounted and balanced, did you get a good deal on everything? I've been wondering if it's better in the long run to buy locally once you factor in shipping.

tires ran 133$ each 31 BFG mud terrains. black rock crawler series 51 rims 45.79 each. they were running a 20% employee type discount savings for this month so I went that route.. would have cost more local plus 7% sales tax in NJ..

I was just more ticked at there oh well attitude for there mistake.. funny thing was they said first they would pick them up mount balance and redeliver but I would just have to wait , I said fine.. then guy puts me on hold for tenth time because they didnt know what to do. and said there just going to pick up the tires and credit me because it would cost them to much to redeliever.. so I said whats the differance if I place the same order again after you credit me you still have to redeliver the same items...lol .. think he was really confused and scratching his head and nuts by that..

oh well live and learn,, I just needed to vent ,, thanks for listening XJ brothers..
