Yesterday as I was leaving my beach house, after a day of pulling stuck cars out of a mud parking lot, I was traveling down a street at about 10 mph and this lady backs out of her drive way and backs into my passanger side between my front door and rear axle. It felt as if i actualy drove up onto her bumper for a moment. This is about a week after I installed jcr stage 2 sliders.

Getting out and walking around the vehicle I notice the entire trunk of her 07 bmw is entirely pancaked. After looking at the bmw for a moment I turned expecting to see alot of damage done to my XJ. Well. There isent any. theres a scratch on my slider and there was alot of platic shavings in my rim.

About a year ago I was backed into again on that same corer but hit more behind the rear wheel. Again no dammage.

I think ive been lucky so far. or XJs are just extreamly durable.

Pretty durable, but it's probably also a matter of height. If that bimmer had hit you at the middle of a door panel instead of down at the sills, you'd be hurting.

the JCR/AJs rails will definately take a beating. they saved you from a week or two in the body shop. the doors and rockers are very week compared to the rock rails
