Does anyone know what the backspacing is for the stock steel rims? I have a 99 XJ and want to order some new rims and put them on this . I don't want to have any problems when I install them.

believe its around 5 inches....i went to 3.75 backspacing on my 30" MT/Rs and i'm much happier....

- In yer postz fixin yer spellinz.
If you have a full size spare then check it. If not pull a wheel get a tape measure and a straight edge 15" long. Lay straight edge on the bead area and then measure to the bolt surface where lugs go through the rim. That will be your backspacing.

Stock backspace is 5.25 inches for the XJ.
