98 xj with 231 t case has been leeking a little bit, i think from the front seal where the drive shaft comes in, how do i check the fluid level and fill it?

take out the fill plug and fill it till it don't fill no more. A fluid pump will make things easier.

Dextron II or III. I use a big old syringe from my last hospital stay about 5 years ago.
