'98 died, wont start

My wife was driving my '98 4.0. She said she drove about 30 feet in a parking lot and the jeep just died. She ran the battery all the way down trying to start it with no luck. I tried to jump start it, and one time it did start and run for 30 seconds then died. No luck after that. I have gas at the fuel rail. I unhooled the wire from the coil to the distributor and got no spark grounding it to the frame.

I am going to drag it home and try to work on it. Any ideas??

Thanks

Master fuses in the fuse block, coil, possible alternator originally killing the battery.

It's process of elimination time.

I guess I have to start with a new battery, as right now the voltage is so low it keeps setting the alarm off every time I turn it over. Since the battery has been in there for about 5 years I guess thats not so bad.

Dragging out the FSM too.
