View Full Version : Because of recent events...

In light of recent events in the bicycle industry I feel we should modify the way we run our events. As we all know Avery Genosi (NAXJA Handle: Cracker) is and has been a member of the bicycle industry for quite some time. As has recently come to the countries attention all these bicyclists take performance enhancing drugs (commonly called doping) in order to achive any task they do.
So becuase of this I suggest we make avery take an industry approved drug test (Piss-in-a-cup) before any NAXJA event he takes part in. We do not want him to have an unfair advantage over the other NAXJA members.
Thank you and have a good day.

Where can I get some "dope" for my Jeep. I want it to be able to conquer small mountains (Denali?), and run forever on less fuel without getting tired.

I am afraid that this problem goes deeper than I previously thought:
At a recent event Mr. Genosi had an unfair advantage against other attendees. A particularly observant attendee who shall remain nameless noticed that Mr. Genosi was unusually alert and clear headed on the morning's run. After the day's events it was made clear that Mr. Genosi was the only attendee who was not under the influence of alcohol, hung-over, or otherwise mentally impaired. We will not stand for this kind of behavior

Make him piss in a cup. If the required trace amounts of alcohol aren't present, ban him from future events (Except those run in Colorado) and strip him of his den password.

So you say there actually ARE NAXJA events? And you have attended such events?
I call SPOBI! (do a Yahoo search for spobi and see what the 1st one is:D )
Having never seen nor participated in a NAXJA event myself, I'm calling for a commity to investigate the validity of these claims! :moon:

Now hold on a minute here. I, for one, would never let this person gain an unfair advantage. I see it as my personal duty to maintain a *level playing field*, so to speak.
I also find these accusations to be particularly troubling in light of my association with said individual. By insinuation, my reputation is being smeared by all of this. Do you really think I'd be caught dead... well, lets not answer that one. :D
So. Let me make this very clear.

I am sorry that I have offended you but I feel strongly about this issue and will not back down.
I do understand and have experianced your constant strive to level out the playing field. I can remember numorous occasions where you ahve done so (although the memories are always a little fuzzy around the edges...) and I do appreciate the effort.
I need coorabative witnesses for the photograph you posted up though as I have never known Mr. Genosi to consume alcoholic beverages, I do not know what, if anything, is in that can, and that girl is laughing so hard as to suggest this is a staged photograph.
I am not blaming nor accusing you of doing so, I am just interested in the facts about this serious charge.
I've realized that this problem is far more serious than I previously imagined. As such I will need help throughout this process. I have appointed Remi's snorkle as Testing Collection Point #1a. Whenever you are on a run please submit a test to this one and only approved testing location.
Step stools will be provided for those who cannot aim properly.
Thank you,

Well, since you've already established the protocol... I do have a few questions though.
How soon till I can submit my sample?
I'm assuming collection will be open at M&G's and trail runs?
What's the chance of getting house calls?
Are samples going to be limited by volume, or can I submit a *complete* sample?
What if I miss?
TIA.

Wherever the specialized collection device is you may submit a sample. House calls are possible but must be all requests must be submitted in Polish.
There is no limit to the amount of sample you may submit, in fact you are encouraged to submit as large a sample (and as frequently) as possible.
We have conviently supplied a "chicken mat" near the collection point if you shall miss. The sides of the collection unit are also covered in a conveniant textured coating to minimize slip and fall potential.

So let me get this straight.
Do your #1 in the tube
Do your #2 on the 'chicken mat'
Is that correct?

Ron you are mistaken. I was having one of those "here hold my beer and watch this moments" during that time. I knew Cracker was the only one on the trip that wouldn't finish it for me.

Good - makes me not feel so odd...
Full beard at 12. Six feet at 13. I haven't been carded since I was fourteen - when I started to realise that I could actually get away with buying booze!
Intersting - my wife is 17 years older than I am, and gets carded all the time. She doesn't go to any special effort to look young, she just happens to look young. I only look young when I'm clean-shaven (which hasn't happened since I was 17, in Basic. I still keep a Vandyke on - a Fu Manchu didn't really work for me, and I need a little more than just a pushbroom, I think...)
I think the earliest I had someone tell me I was "forty-something" was when I was about 19. Granted, there was a little salt in my hair even then, and having dark hair does make it a little more obvious (probably why my wife looks younger - she's blonde.)

This problem appears to be correcting itself.
Cracker has had three beers since Friday.
Granted, Mike, James and I polished off several six packs and a trip to the bar - where cracker was still clear headed enough to drive us to home depot .. but give him time.

You guys are over-thinking this.
drug tests?
Come on!...
That the best you can come up with? We're supposed to be the smart bunch, right?
Much simpler, cheaper solution is available. Just make everyone down a quart of Vodka at the trailhead. Problem solved! Talk about enhancing performance!

No, it would be wrong to advocate drinking and wheeling.

G-Man, I don't know...
By pure observation, I noticed that my friends who "Doped up" before school were usually slugish and slow of thought.
If you do decide to take samples at NAXJA events, perhaps you should invest in a locking gas cap :D

Dumbshits.
It's not about a level of drunkeness.
It's about a level of hungoverness that's crucial to anybody in the Johnson Valley area.

--ronCapn, your reputation speaks for itself.
I'm sure no one here would ever question your WDHL (Wheeling Day Hangover Level), regardless of the company you keep.
However, I've recently heard rumors of Suckoiya asking bar patrons to donate "samples". I can only assume the worst.
