After those last few posts here, I am too embarassed to post mine, it is still a stock, 87 Renix 4X4. Unless you count my 85, 2wd, Cherokee with the custom Nissan SD22 Deisel engine that gets 34 MPGs with a whopping 61 PEAK HP. :rof::laugh3:

Here is a link to the build.. yeah I took 1/4" sq. tub and cut top out to sleeve mine, and there are 8 different places along the frame where I hole-sawed out the unibody and welded in sch. 80 pipe for a crush sleeve. Think you can see the 3/4" bolt heads in some of the pics.

i've got 5ish on it, figured i would add some into the perches and i plan on rebuilding my leaf packs. Might go with some slightly stiffer coils. How far did you push your front forward, any shots of how it looks compressed, want to see how your steering and links clear.

Yeah they are, I think the steering off of them weigh almost as much as the 30. They are out of 05 f250, hp60 and sterling 10.5

This is my rig right after putting the ~4" junkyard lift on it. Its riding on 31" OTRs from Treadwright. I've still got to get an adjustable trackbar to recenter the front axle, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with it. Haven't taken it offroad yet to really test it out though.

I am fairly new to the site. My name is Aaron. I posted for help on what to look out for and this is what your help has netted me. It's a 93 Country Edition, goes by the name of Bocephus (bout as country of a name as you can get for a country XJ). it has a 3.5" Rustys off road lift, but with the full packs and spacers to level it out, he's closer to 4-4.5". He rolls on 30/9.50 BFG MTs. it has the stock 4.0, AW4, NP242, and the chrys. 8.25". I LOVE it!!!! went from a YJ to this because I needed the room and comfort outta a daily driver. I am also a member of LSJC (the one with all the monkey pics). Here he is...

Its a 60 and 10.5 from a superduty, 35 spline all around.

Even fully polished (good alloys, ctms) I wouldn't run 40s on a 44.

Just got it this weekend to use as a playtoy. '89 with new (well 1500 miles on it) motor, runs really good, just needs a new drivers seat. Got all 4 31" mudders with it but they only had the two on the back. It's got a spray on bedliner paint job. I'm gonna built it up a little but it's gonna take me a while. Only paid $500 for it. Oh and the spotlight actually works too. :D

Hi MM - In UK, yes it is European spec right hooker. Little rock crawling here, you rarely see anything like Mudderoy or Swaprats rigs. Mostly mud and forest, with some very narrow trails here you need to fold in the wing mirrors to get thorugh. Europe is better for longer trails, and like the Rockies, the Alpine mountain trails.

Apologies did not realise this was RRC only, everso humble to be here you know.....

No doubt! I need to get a sticker that says "Friends Don't Let Friends Drink and Trim." There's this nice set of scratches about 2" above his cut on the pass. side that looks like he skipped the grinder across the fender. LOL! I plan to put the flares back on and hide the trim job though.

uh..yeah...and you tried to weld the bolts that hold my tracbar bracket in place....and you spot welded my fender....and you skipped the grinder down the side of my fender leaving nice, "little scratches".... :)

Yeah the only real thing I want to change is finding either a 44, 8.25, or 8.8 rear to swap in. I am treading on thin ice with the D35 still in there. I just don't want to spend a ton of cash on it right now, but if I could find any of the above at a decent price with the right gears I would jump all over it.

yea... you figure since I'm in the computer field that I would have double checked before hitting ok, but......

also I need to swap the rear springs cause the passenger spring is warped, causing it to be a full inch lower then the drivers side, you can see it in the pics. Hopefully that will help pull that spring back out, and make it last a little bit longer till I buy a new one.

The shackles are 10" long, but they are pretty angled for lots-o-droop. It sits level with the front 6" coils.

21 miles east of Arkadelphia on Hwy 8. Little town called Alpine. got a few neat wheelin' spots close by but nothin' serious. A little mud, lots of logging roads, and a coupla Historic spots that are cool to drive around at. I'm @ 45 miles from the ORV park in H.S. but I've never been. My family also has an annual reuinion at Wright Patman Lake in TX.

I am still looking for a light bar for my XJ. I need something low profile but I don't want to spend $1500+ on a LED one. I just have a dash mount rotator and some tail light strobe I haven't installed yet. I to am an EMT down here but I am not into the fire thing anymore. Wet Stuff on the Hot Stuff... not my cup of tea, but if you get hurt/burnned I will be out side ready to treat you.

I would skip straight to front bumper with tie ins instead of spending money on tow hooks if it were me. I mean I know the bumper is alot more expensive, but when you eventually get one it will replace the tow hooks, so why spend unecessary money on the hooks. Nate's4x4.com has some awesome deals on bumpers right now. Go to Nates4x4.com and click on hot sales. They have two different Xj front bumpers for under $160.00. My bumpers are Nates and they are tough as nails. Trust me, mine get used regularly. As far as rock rails go, I would go with JCR stageIIs.
