I poped my pinion bearing into little bits. I need to replace it. Is it worth it to buy a new one from a dealership or just get a new axle? Also I wanted to ask how much that bearing will run me. I thought about parting out my d35 but I found that the bearing is the only real damage to the axle. The shafts are good and I only broke a corner off of a tooth on the pinion and ring gear. Any and all advice is useful. Please help.

or search local auto parts stores. I would be leary on the tooth unless its actually just a corner on one tooth. Personally I would pop a new bearing, seal and crush washer in it and be done. But thats me

Its one corner on one tooth and a chip on the second next to it.

Check the wear pattern before using it again. If it's in the pattern there will be excessive wear on the set and will destruct when you need it most. It will also be on your mind ALL the time! If it's not in the pattern, you should be fine :)
