Q Tips

What are Q tips made for anywho? I'll tell ya what they're NOT made for. CLEANING EARS!! For as long as I've been with my g/f, she insists on cleaning her ears with Q tips. I always tell her, "That's dangerous, you can aggravate the ear drum, yadda yadda". She never listens. Well...a few mornings ago. I'm droolin' on my pillow in that, "good sleep". She comes in the bedroom while she's gettin' ready for work and says, "Baby, I got a problem". Groggily, I reply, "What"? So she tells me that during her cleaning, she pulled it out of her ear and it was well.....tipless. It's amazing how calmly and collectively I react when I'm called to duty and faced with danger. She really is lucky to have me. I put the Murine drops in her ear and told her to lay on her side for 15 minutes while that stuff works. Then filled a bulb syringe with warm water and blasted the ear once. That's all it took. Sucker popped right out. I shoulda charged her $100 co-pay visit.

In her defense, she did take care of me a few days later while I layed on the couch and cried and moaned about my lack of wisdom teeth. She said I did a lot of grunting and pointing. She really is lucky to have me. :roflmao:

Actually you're supposed to clean your ears with warm water. Only use qtips on the outside. As my doctor once said 'nothing goes in your ear other than your elbow'...

i agree, q tips are not and should not be used to clean the ear canal, outside, well what the heck. around the ear, why not.

i use em to clean inside of my fishing reels.

i had to go to fry's electronics and i saw they had q tip style swabs that are lint free for those who work with electronics.

interesting. thats a 5 dollar q tip some folks are probably cleaning their ear holes with.

The key is easing into your ear drum slowly. Don't shove the thing in there all at once.

Besides, it only really hurts bad the first time.

Q tips are an amazing invention.

Probably shouldn't let retarded people use them though.

There are many uses for the q tip. Look on the box, you might be suprised. You can use them for touching up eye shadow, Touching up paint chips, cleaning your keyboard etc., etc., etc.
