The rattle goes away at speeeds higher than 25 mph. Replaced the driveshaft universal joints. No change. There's no noise when running up on blocks. No side to side play in the wheel bearings, just a little in and out. Any ideas? Thanks.

Could be your catalytic converter.Mine on the '96 has a bad rattle to it at times. I actually received a recall notice last year for them to reflash the computer and replace the converter, just haven't made it to the dealer yet. Emissions recall-E22

I'll shake the cat....

It does sound like a it could be bearing / gear related. There's a periodic tick that seems to be coming from farther back than the cat.
