Crash and I dicussed this sometime back. It looked very good value wise but we had hurd it wasn't a vicious lock. Kind of the preload on the clutches being increased to a high level so it would act more as a locker. They still could/would slip some while hanging a tire in the air.

I found a picture, can't seem to find it or the thread now, where it showed several pins that did the locking and the magnet just locked them in place.

While I was looking just now I may have found the difference. It appears the OEM diffs just increase the preload.

I haven't had time to verify how it actually locks. If it's a hard lock than I think it may be good, if it's not I wouldn't bother.

If I get a chance later I do some more searching. I found this thread but it wasn't the one I was thinking of, it was much later than February.

The drawing on page 4 of this pdf. Arrow #3. They are saying balls do the locking. They used to have an animated drawing showing it working and it looked like they fit into sockets. The animation I saw showed pins.

PM NHRocker - I think he has one of these, and it helped to blow a 297 ujoint at NACFest (due to when he switched it to lock mode).

Other than that, he seems happy with it.
