Here are some pics I took last week in the vicinity of the IC Geocaching trip planned for this August. These were taken a short ways (40 miles or less) to the east of where the goecaching will take place, but it will give any potential attendees an idea of what is up there.

There are a few trails here and there, but mostly a stock Jeep could attend without needing 4-wheel drive so there should be plenty for everyone. Make sure to get your Utah fishing licence, an out-of-state licence for 7 days will cost $32 and $12 for one day. Lots of brown and cutthroat trout, bring your fly rods too and cameras.

Be hard for him to cheat since only four of the caches are placed and I am the only one in existence with the coords.

I was scouting for elk, as well as someone can scout for elk with three little kids and a 1/2ton Suburban with minivan-like ground clearance. Camping was fun though, we had a VERY young moose calf and mommy come through camp and tango with my knuckle-headed dog for a few minutes. My dog is 65# and 23" tall, and the moose calf barely had it's feet under it and was shorter at the shoulder than the dog. Probably days (if not hours) old.

I'm headed back up next weekend to scout a little more via mountain bike- again with the dog and this time with a gun and coyote calls, lots of good coyote sign up there. I'll post more pictures when I get them.
