hey, didnt know if this goes here or in modified but here we go, i am trying to get some gears but dont know what rear end i have. the number plate on the front diff. is scratched to hell and the rear doesnt have one. my jeep is a 94 4 door 5 spd 4.0 with a 4.5 inch lift and 33" tires(35's next summer) could somebody tell me how to find out what rear and front i have and also what gears i should get to keep it a dd and have my power and torque back. thanks

front you have a dana 30 highpinion non-disco, for sure.
in the rear its not a definate, but up north ive seen much more chrysler 8.25s they have the flat lip on the botton and a rounded face, the other option would be the dana 35 no lip at the bottom and the face has like a half moon poking out of it.
the best indicator would be the flat lip at the bottom of the differential. and the tube will be thicker as well.

An easy way to tell is if the rear has a rubber plug its an 8.25, metal plug is a D35.
