TC dimensions

My NP242 is on the way out, and I'm contemplating a replacement.

Can anyone tell me, or point me to the dimensions of the NP231 and NP242 Transfer cases?

The NP 242 is slightly larger than the NP 231. It will hang down lower than the 231 by about 3/4" and some of the aftermarket Tcase skids and HD Tcase cross members will not fit with a 242. I believe that they are close enough in length that you don't have to worry about driveshaft lengths.
