I found a OEM case guard off of an 89 and put it on my 92. The problem is the transfer case touches the guard! If the motor mounts were bad, then there would be more clearence.
Could the transmission mount be bad? Does it colapse when it fails? How often do they go bad? Hard to believe with it being under compression most of the time.
BTW it bolted right in without any problems.
