Need a nice home installed alarm

my 97 XJ doesnt have ANY kind of alarm or keyless entry. I was wondering what kits you have installed AT HOME. Im now looking to pay a shop a lot of $$, so i was going to find a alarm kit and do it at home. Anybody done this?

Yes, plenty of kits available at your local auto parts or online. I did an Audiovox. You need a little elec savvy, some wire cutters and a crimper. If you can follow a schematic, you're good to go. If not, take it to a pro.
