I broke off a door handle at Evan's. Apparently XJs are about a door handle's width narrower than a ZJ, cause Adam got through these two trees fine....I didn't. I backed up and tried to get over 3 times before coming to the realization I wasn't making it through unscathed.....so I sacrificed the door handle. Those are some awesome trails!

Broke the bar pin off the bottom of the pass side shock. More body damage, drivers side doors harder to close. Might of got a pass side upper BJ. Otherwise, it held up well.

I may have broke some sort of record. I started my RE 3.5" Super Ride lift Friday afternoon and finished 23 hours later. My hands ache, my back is sore, and my knees are shot. I'm physically broke, but it's a good feeling.
Today I started on my RE transfer case drop kit. I gave up trying to remove the studs after an hour. Will try again tomorrow.
I'm slow, but determined!

I didn't break anything...my son on the otherhand:
2 stitches and some nasty road rash on his second birthday (Friday). I still have yet to figure out what caused all the damage. All he was doing was rolling on the top of a basketball sized rubber ball - on asphalt. He screamed, I turned around and he was still on top of the ball. I don't get it.

I would narrow it if I did it, but I am thinking about a new front axle as my next upgrade. I have gone through atleast one ring and pinion and a set of axle shafts in the last year, and that's with only 33x10.5 tires. I would like to get a set of 35-36" tires next year, which means time for a stronger front axle, and since I think a D44 is a waist of time, that means D60 or a D60/Ford 9, hybred.

Ok so I got the 242 pulled and the new 231 in the shop. Decided that Ill just slap in the 231 tomorrow so I yanked appart the 242.
- snapped the tail shaft right in front of the speedo gear (clean break)
- chewed up the speedo gear
- handful and a half of metal chunks
- pick up filter fell off
- pick up tube fell off (both undamaged)
actually the 242 dosent look too bad other than needing a new tail shaft, so I may be repairing it (if the parts are cheap) and selling it. For the most part all the broken chunks stayed in the tail shaft so my thinkng the chain was delaminated was wrong. The main gear for the chain only had one end in a bearing so when it was loaded thats why the chain would jump. Forgot the camera tho but will get pics tomorrow when i go back to my shop.

...he was just running around saying "Its wild crazy drunkeness."...in reference to the "Drunky Rocks," where the folks were indeed wild, crazy and very drunk. After I crawled down from the tire, the buggy the tire belonged to (whatever size it was) nailed the gas and rammed straight into a PNWJeeper's XJ right behind me. Luckily there was no damage to either rig, but it was pretty illuminating.
I would, of course, never condone drunk driving. Let's let this one rest, shall we?

Dag Nab it! I had a slowly degrading hub roast on me Friday on my way home from work. I spent Saturday running around for parts and that missing caliper socket (&*$%$#$!* E-16). Sunday was bbq with the in-laws.
Sadly no wheelie for me this weekend. (But at least I got to work on my Jeep!)
