So i'm putting a new motor in, (due to the family curse it went out at 130,000 :explosion ) definatly HO (1990 model currently), Maybe a stroker, but not much $$$$ and it's my DD. Theres no reason to run new engine on an old radiator, so thats getting replaced, and since it currently has that sucky closed system (the cap is held on with loctite and a HUGE rubber band) I might as well convert to the open system. So to the questions:
RADIATOR
All I need is a new heater Core and Radiator for the conversion right?
MOTOR
What are the good and bad cast numbers for Heads and Blocks. I know that the late 90s blocks cracked and the 00-01 heads had something wrong with them or something like that, I want a definative list of the cast number + Years to check when I start building this thing.
Also as of now i have a RENIX in, do i need new computer parts to run the HO?
I searched and could find only a few threads about the cast numbers.
