Your right hes not washed up and after his beating he will wake up and start at the bottom of the ranks. I really hate chuck. Got to meet him in person once and he was a total dick to everyone and he was there to sighn autographs so its not like he was having dinner inerupted.

everyone hates couture now because of a "loss" to liddel. but they seem to forget his string of effortless victorys prior.

they pushed out randy just like they pushed out frank shamrock, he beat everyone and their were no more contenders so he dissappeared.

I think its all rigged now, like boxing. once the public brought the cash to the sport its been worthless.

funny how hardly any fights go to decision. funny how randy got completely obliterated by rico rodriguiez and had his eyesocket fractured but he never got knocked out, then one little tap from chuck and oh im gonna retire now, then a magical comeback.....I smell scam, possibly scamola.

the ufc has yet to match liddel up with someone well versed in ju jitsu and I think frank shamrock is rounded enough to take chucks game apart.

I'm picking Liddell but he dosn't fight enough on the ground to have shown much there; if Jackson can get past Liddell's takedown defence it'll be a tough night for Chucky, if not he'll chew Jackson up.
Knockouts are the norm because they put people with 8 pro fights in with guys Like Lidell and hang 4 oz worth of padding to protect the knuckles instead of the 16-20oz gloves they put on boxers; plus the knees, shins, elbows and the ground can be used:)
Should be a great fight either way.

And yeah, I'm not a hard-core fan. I don't buy the ppv fights, I just see what comes on spike and rent one occationally. And I liked it better when there weren't any rounds, just go at it until the fights over.

And they're nothing wrong with a knockout. It isn't the only way to win that I appreciate, but that is what chuck usually does...

technical aspect of fighting is ghey. Case in Point...>De la Hoya vs Mayweather. That was one of the most boring fights (yeah its not UFC) because Mayweather wasnt going for the knockout at all. He is a points whore. Jab, jab then move away. Mayweather is fast and accurate but he only cares about winning by points and that makes for a boring fight.

When fighters go for a knockout, it makes for great entertainment and a much more energetic fight.

Curt, I agree about Liddells ground game. Liddell hits hard when he connects.
