I just got off of my roof, was installing an attic vent and......wow is it hot! Yesterday hit 119 in Woodland hills, my ac came on at 7:30 this morning. Even the nights have been hot, which is unusual for SoCal. Its humid also and I know since i work in Florida alot. I don't even want to go outside, I think I'll watch tv and sip some sudz. Anyone else having problems with this heat??.... or am I just a wimp???? I remember last winter everyone was complaining about it being too cold.....haha.

The influx of illegal immigrants to the SoCal area is having an effect on oxygen consumption thus affecting Co2 levels inducing a greenhouse effect that is intensifing the ozone level depeletion in the area.
True Story...
I read it on the internet.

It's from the global warming. It's all you evil white guys in your gas guzzling SUV's fault so deal with it.

The heats even bad up here in OR, hit 106 here in corvallis yesterday, and we're at 103 right now, and we still have a couple of hours for it to get a little higher. My folks in the santa cruz moutains hit 102 yesterday. Where the hell was all this "Global Warming" when we were getting single digit temps last winter?! :D

Do you have proof of that?
Did those same scientists that wrote reports on that tell you the earth did the same thing 400 years ago?
There are more mexican, asian, and blacks out here than whites.

it was 72*F when I got home to the city, and 69*F when I drove my daughter to her apartment at 10PM. I don't know how people can work in this type of weather.

I think your on to something.
Quit being pansys, avoid it if you can, if you cant, drink plenty of water and try not to complain so much.

This heat wave (or should I say humidity wave) sucks!
I was working on my XJ over the weekend, trying to keep her from overheating by putting in a new fan clutch and thermostat... I'm lucky I didn't overheat.
However the Jeep did stay cooler climbing the hill out of Simi, so I guess it was worth it.
Now I need to fix the A/C...

Enough of this, gotta go fire up the grill and throw the chicken and ribs on that have been soaking in barbacue sauce since sat....hopefully I won't work up 'too much' of a sweat... temps finally moderated here and it's really nice outside, too bad I blew up my mower yesterday. Was hoping the damage was not too bad but that big hole in the side of the cylinder can't be any too good however I can see the piston go by...

I think I'll go put on some jeans and a woolen jacket. It says it's 104* outside right now. Perfect weather to dry out the interior of an XJ that went swimming yesterday......

Its not so bad.... It has been over 110 for 18 days in a row here in Phoenix, 117 yesterday. The only time you can do anything is at night. I was out washing the Jeep at 2 AM the other day, and it was 106 then. No A/C in the garage though, but you get used to it after a while. Gives you a excuse to drink heavily.....(ah, water that is):D

You folks just have not put two and two together yet.
Take notice of the crappy last few years on the coast from the Seattle to Mexico. Rain, rain, more rain, chilly summers, overcast days at the beach. Especially those poor SOB's in the PAC Nor-mess. Rain for more than 30 days straight! Dear Lord!
Now, notice that Glenn moved to the Hudson river. Now we have heat waves, best summer in years on the coast and perfect breezes every Wednesday for the beer can races. Even Seattle weather has been improving...
I'm thinking things ain't gonna go so well back there weather wise for awhile.
:D
