So far one monkey down, I especially liked the warning about avoiding squirrels and monkeys, no mention about the FLEAS THAT CARRY THE DISEASE, maybe a note 'spray yourself and your children with OFF before entering the Zoo'....

I dont get why this is such a big deal.
In Flagstaff, where I grew up, we had cases EVERY year. You knew not to mess with the prairie dogs, unless it was from a couple hundred yards with a rifle.
It isnt like the disease is gone, health conditions and sanitation has just improved to the point that it isnt the issue it used to be.

I thought it was gone from here, like TB used to be. I figured it for a 3rd world disease.

TB....there is some scary shit right there.
AZ has a dude locked up right now as he is a danger to the community at large because of his antibiotic resistant TB.
Not so much 3rd world...but Eastern Bloc for sure.

The Plague has never left, we just have the medicine to deal with it (as long as you catch it in time).
They're Plague warning signs all over the South West.
I giggle at all the fools who say it's a third world disease and the illegal immegrants brough it with them. ;)

I thought the only thing you had to worry about in the southwest was all those dried up mouse turds. As for that dude with the nasty tb, they locked him up from what I read because he would not follow basic safety and health standards for not spreading it like wearing a mask when around people, hell, the orientals here in NYC were them, masks, on GP [general principles]....
We got a doctor in this building that I was going to go to till he took a dump and walked out of our floors main bathroom without washing his hands, grossed me out, nasty F&uck and a doctor boot..

Plague has never left the US. Wasn't there an Hawahii 5-0 episode about the plague getting into Honolulu off of a private sail boat?
damn, I watch too much TV :D
The story about the TB dude in AZ was funny when they were talking to the County Sheriff (the health board put him in the county lock-up). The story was that the Sheriff was mistreating him, taking away his TV and junk. The Sheriff was hilarious. "You want him treated better? Take him out of my jail. As far as I understand he broke the law and was placed in my jail. As long as he's in my jail he gets the same treatment as any other inmate."
