NP231 Transfer case

Hi, I was wondering if the NP231 t-case found in jeep cherokee's has the same case dimensions as the 231D found in the dodge ram 1/2 ton. A friend of mine has a dodge w/ a crack in the rear half of the case and I just remembered that I have an extra 231 from my cherokee. I would go measure my self but I cant go check out the dodge case at the moment, thought maby some of you might have an idea!!

I think that the shafts are going to be different even if they are the same

I replaced the rear housing on a Dodge 231H with the rear housing from a Jeep Cherokee. My buddy stretched the chain and it work its way through the case, dumping all the oil. By the way the 231H has the wide chain:skull1:
