Hello...My son't 88 XJ Cherokee needs new bump-stops. Can't seem to get the old ones off. Any help? Do they thread off? Replacements we've gotten seem to be threaded...

Any help will be appreciated.

Just had mine off on my '88. I grabbed the metal part with a pipe wrench. As soon as it broke loose I was able to turn the rest of the way by hand. There probably isn't enough space between the coils of the spring to fit a wrench unless you have the frame on jack stands with the front axle hanging. Or, if the springs are already off, it's easy.
