AX-15 and NV3550

I blew my ax15, and am going to look at a 5 speed out of a 2001 wrangler which aparently has a NV3550 this week. Whats the difference, will it bolt up to my 4.0 in my 93 xj that currently has a bad ax15?
if anybody tells me to search before posting this, or im a dumb newby who doesnt know anything, sorry.. but im a mad hurry to get my every day driver back on the road. thanks

just found out it has an external slave.. what specific new slave/customization do i need to do in order for this to work?

You will need a bellhousing, throwout bearing & fork that works with the external slave, 94 and up should work, AX-15 or NV3550, doesn't matter. For the hydraulic clutch slave gismo, call this guy, describe what you have, and he'll set you up. http://www.partsmikeparts.com/clutch.htm
