Hey Dan,

Don't know how important it is for you to give your hard-earned to a local guy. But 4WP is having their "employee pricing" sale until July 24.

And they have a good price on the Warn M8000.

Warn M8000 Winch

Includes:
Roller Fairlead
100' of 5/16 wire rope and remote switch

With our employee pricing special, only: $495.09

You could try Dan Turner at Loose Nuts.

I bet it'll be hard to beat the 4wp deal that Johnny mentioned tho.

ok I went to a few local shops up here and I can beat the hell out of thier prices online (2 shops here quoted 600+ for the warn 8000)so it looks like samsoffroad.com is getting my business unless someone can beat thier price, Im in no big hurry so Im willing to shop around and get what I really want.

How does the ramsey 8.5 perform compared to the warn 8000? the ramsey has a lower rated permanet magnet motor but higher gear reduction, anyone had a problem with them?

I have had mine for 2 years now. It works awesome. It is a little slow but for $400 it is a great winch. I use mine for everything, pulling engines, stumps, Fords... Look at the Ramsey warranty compared to the others as well. Ramsey will beat all the others hands down. Just my .02

ok ive made my decision Im goin for the deal arron pointed out since its a hella nice winch and 4wp's have them on hand.

I like the ramsey warrenty but I will be using this thing a lot not just for wheeling and I think a motor with more grunt will work better for me

What about the mile marker 8000 lb that Costco has for 329.00?? That should be sufficent for your jeep... Dan posted the link for it a few weeks ago...

well the costco deal isnt bad but it is a mile marker which I dont like the warrenty on.

I use to have a super winch on a full size chevy and it sucked, slow and always had some sort of problem.

I pmed rawbrown didnt get a response

I can't remember who I bought my winch from but I picked up US Made Ramsey RP 8000 for $400 shipped from Oklahoma for $400. About the same as the 8000.

Just got a M8000 from 4WP. If warranty is important to you. Do what I did. They have what they call an "Extreme Warranty" for a extra 50 bucks you get a lifetime warranty on the winch. I think thats the way to go.

I think that Raw Brown still have a T-max 9000 winch for sale. Try to get a hole of him once he returns from vacation.
