Replaced my radiator in my 4.0 '92 XJ a few days ago, obviously, drained all the coolant. Now it's time to refill the coolant. How much do I use? What's the procedure? Is it 50/50 coolant to water? Do I fill it through the overflow bottle or the cap on the radiator? What about letting it run to operating temp? Should I flush the system first?
All I've done so far is drain the coolant, remove the old radiator, and install te new one.
Yes I searched, but didn't really find any stupid-proof instructions. I'm mechanically inclined, just never done this before.
thanks.
