My buddy has a 99 Ford Ranger :doh: he is looking to sell. It's a automatic with a 4.0 v6 133k. The bad is it needs new airbags and possibly a knuckle or spindle on the drivers side. Truck according to Carmax is in normal condition for its age. It has some dents but nothing to major. He is looking to get around $4000 out of it. He would probably trade for an XJ aswell. Transmission is going bad quick, only runs 1st and 2nd gear. MAKE OFFER!!!!!

Why does it need new airbags? What other kind of damage does the suspension have to need new a new spindle?

It doesn't need a spindle just an upper control arm. But one mechanic just told him the frame was bent, I don't know if this is true or not. Reguardless the tranny is fried and he would get rid of it for $1500 maybe $1000. Motor is still good and it runs fine. Oh yea he hit a ditch that's why the airbags deployed.
