93 xj w/ power locks

the button to open the door has no pressure, the manual lever inside does not unlock door.

I removed the inside door panel, not easy.

How do I get the door to open?

push pull on rods?

Yes. If not, try to undo it with a screwdriver.

My rear door is doing the same thing. Without opening the door I can't pull the door panel to gain access. I suspect a rod has come off something. Really a PAIN!

The rods use little plastic retainers to hold them in place. One may have broken or slipped off.
