swap options for 2.5, I finally blew her up

Hi, I'm new here but I"ve searched around for about a year as a visitor. my name is Rick and I have an xj problem, haha. Mine is an 85, with a 2.5. Its lifted about 5 inches 33's trimmed fenders and 4.56's. My problem is I've recently lost an exhaust valve and blown a nice hole in my #4 piston. I'd rather not rebuild it, as its got alot of miles and it doesn't seem worth it. Does anyone have suggestions as to what I could replace it with aside from the 2.5? I'd prefer something that will mate to my tranny without too much trouble. Thanks in advance.
