19 spline D44 vs 30 spline D44

i've come into a D44 outta the rear of a 71 IHC Scout 800. its 2" narrower between the backingplates and i believe its probably 4" narrower than the stock XJ stuff. how strong is the 19 spline stuff? good axle or peddle it for 8.25 parts? suggestions?

The 19 spline is very weak.

Its narrow, 19 splines, and wrong bolt pattern. Fix it up and sell it the the IH crowd.

narrow=yes, 19 spline=no its a 30 spline if the IH guys know what theyre talking about....
