So I have a 1995 XJ with the 4.0/AW4/231/8.25 and I have some weird vibrations. I get them when starting from a stop, and if I go above 2000rpm it feels like the transfer case will blow through the floor. After I'm going 7 or so, they go away. AND they only happen when I'm on the gas, and the harder I press the worse they get. I also have vibs at 30mph. Not as bad, but the Jeep shakes a little and you can feel it.
I took out the rear drive shaft to see what happens, and drove in 4HI and they went away. I put new u-joints in the DS and re-installed it w/ grease for the yoke.
Heres the interesting part...........no lift...0". I'm trying to get the filler nut off for the transfer case, but its stuck and I need some help with it. Would low fluid cause this issue? I doubt it.
