Hi,

i am trying to install an aftermarket alarm system to my 98 xj

but stuck on the power door locks.
does anyone know if this system is a negative impulse or positive?
ie does it need negative to open close doors or positive?

and anyone know which is the wire/wires on the door that does that?

thanks for any help you can give.

according to the schematic, it is positive. With or without keyless.

If it's anything like my 90 rig..you have a "5-wire" door locking system. You can use two Bosch type 30amp relays or if you can find one, a "DEI 451M" door lock module. I opted for the 451m as it was $6usd and made for a cleaner install.
