Once it gets warm, there is a very high pitch whistle comming from the idle air control. It only does it while at idle. As soon as I step on the pedal, it quits. But as soon as I let off....it whistles. It's pretty loud too. Starting to get looks at stoplights.:laugh3:
While in the driveway, I popped the hood and tapped on the IAC with a scewdriver handle, and it changes pitch and the whistling cuts in and out. With that said, I'm fairly certain that the IAC is the issue. I have taken it apart, cleaned it, and reassembled. The cleaning made no difference.
Any ideas?
