I just picked up a 89 XJ today. It is basicly stock for now. I have a few plans for it but it will take a while.

wow a really new newbie.. welcome... you will find a lot of information on modifying on this forum, so before you ask a question please run a search...

Anything special you have planned for it?

I have the same year. Lots of cool stuff here but do your research before you make changes. I found out the hard way after everything is torn apart and in the trash.

Good luck and ask all the questions. Everyone here is very helpful.
